recording architecture

Perron 58 is the building where i have my studio and where the last few Vatican Analog nights have been organized. Unfortunately it’s on the list of getting demolished somewhere in mid 2011. For me that was the cue to get the most out of it before it’s gone, so in the last few months i started making recordings in and around the building. Recordings of the sounds that the building makes on its own (e.g. air vents) on one hand and sound produced by using the qualities of the building on the other. Now I’m in the process of editing and mixing these recordings into (hopefully) some interesting sounding Musique Concrète-like tracks! I’ll keep you posted…
